The inspiring design duo behind Tatty Devine– Rosie Wolfenden and Harriet Vine- have recently been awarded an MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) by the Queen for their services to fashion. The ladies who produce unusual laser cut jewellery in Perspex® , known as LuciteLux® in North America, have been long-term users of the Perspex® brand.

Tatty Devine’s statement piece is their personalised Perspex® Name Necklace which comes in an array of colours. Their designs also span broaches, rings, earrings – including the striking Frida Kahlo portrait earrings- sunglasses and bangles. They pride themselves on producing jewellery which “blurs the boundaries between art, fashion and culture” and on representing British design around the world.

Their collections were given the royal seal of approval at Buckingham Palace on Friday 7th June 2013 by the Prince of Wales. Since launching in 1999, the ladies’ designs have appeared in many fashion publications including Vogue amongst others and they run two Flagship stores in London. Additionally, they have secured over 300 stockists worldwide including Selfridges, London and MoMA, New York.

To celebrate this jubilant occasion, the designers created an exclusive one off badge inspired by the MBE medal which they received. The badges were then given to the first 100 customers who purchased either in-store or online on that Friday.

Congratulations to Tatty Devine on this recognition for their work.
