This December, the LuciteLux® acrylic brand proudly sponsored “Diana: The Queen of People’s Hearts”, a 20th anniversary tribute exhibition held in Memphis, TN.
The celebration was hosted by Pat Kerr, a Memphis-based collector and designer. Her remarkable Pat Kerr Private Royal Collection was on display, and featured over 100 items of fashion, costumes, textiles and memorabilia from Diana, Princess of Wales; Queen Elizabeth II; Queen Victoria and the Duke and Duchess of Windsor.
Boxes crafted from LuciteLux® Clear acrylic by local company Sunset Plastic Fabrications housed the treasured articles, with 12 boxes of varying sizes made for the event.
“We are thrilled Pat selected LuciteLux® Clear to protect and showcase her beautiful and irreplaceable collection,” said Chris Robinson, business manager for Lucite International. “Our clear acrylic is the perfect choice due to its excellent optical clarity, strength and scratch resistance, all important performance characteristics for showcasing valuables in an exhibition space.”
Following the exhibition in Memphis, the items will feature in “Diana: Her Fashion Story” which opens at Princess Diana’s former London Home, Kensington Palace, where it will remain for three years.
