Visitors to this year’s London Design Fair were welcomed by a kaleidoscopic landscape of oversized Perspex® acrylic shapes, which decorated the façade and internal spaces of the Old Truman Brewery in London in a dramatic display by artist Kangan Arora.
Thanks to the endless design possibilities of Perspex® acrylic, this old industrial space was brought to life by the eye-catching ‘Shapescape’ installation.
Raised in India, Kangan Arora is acclaimed for the celebratory use of colour, pattern and abstraction in her work. She says “Shapescape strives to celebrate individual materiality, while creating a striking assemblage of colour, shape, translucence and texture.”
The London Design Fair hosted over 500 exhibitors from 29 countries, all keen to showcase their cutting edge designs and product developments. Arora’s work with Perspex® acrylic proved to be the perfect striking welcome to the 25,000 visitors in attendance over the shows’ 4 days from 22nd September.
