Inplas, one of the most experienced Perspex® approved fabricators, recently specified Perspex® Polar Frost acrylic for an impressive illuminated reception wall at a central London office redevelopment. Supplied by Perspex Distribution Ltd, Inplas worked closely with another long-term partner, Signcraft, to design and fit the statement installation. Close customer relationships, great products, shared vision and expert craftsmanship resulted in a real lighting showstopper at this London location.

Weston House is located in High Holborn, an area of London that links the West End theatre and shopping districts to the City, home to London’s business and financial institutions. The high-specification redesign of the building’s entrance space was commissioned as part of a plan to attract companies seeking a prestigious corporate Head Office in central London.

The expansive light wall featuring Perspex® Polar Frost acrylic creates a dramatic, contemporary reception visible from the busy street, while pieces of the material are used in linear strips that are lit along the ceiling and floor to guide visitors through the reception area. Perspex® Polar Frost offers up to 60% light transmission, making it ideal for light diffusion while maintaining a high light output.

The Perspex® Frost acrylic range has been specified by Inplas for numerous exciting installations since its launch. The Weston House project is another successful use of the product as well as a further example of what the expert partnership between Inplas and Signcraft can achieve. They’ve been working together now for over 20 years to deliver high-end quality projects across the UK. We look forward to hearing how they use Perspex® acrylic next!
