Catherine Cai joined our LICC site in Beijing, China in 2018 as a Customer Service Representative. We spoke about her role and got to know some more about her…

What attracted you to working for us?

“Lucite International is a big company with big ideas and global opportunities. The corporate values appeal to me extremely. I hope to release my personal potential and create my own worth here.”

What does a typical day in your role involve?

“Usually, keeping daily delivery communication and controlling and monitoring finance issues. Throughout the day I complete various administrative duties as well, including answering phones and assisting upstream managers with other relevant work. I also provide after-sales service and follow up orders for our downstream business in North China.”

What do you enjoy most about your work?

“My job offers a wide variety of opportunities. This brings challenging projects, but a professional and cohesive team makes it possible to address the difficulties.”

How would you describe the environment/culture here?

“The work environment here is harmonious and friendly. My colleagues always give me support with their professional skills.”

What is your passion outside of work?

“My hobby is cooking. I love learning new recipes and cooking them for my family. A few times a month, I will go to the nursing home to cook meals for everyone there.”

If you could switch places with one person for a day, who would it be?

“I would like to try being a chemical engineer. This would give me the opportunity to experience something very different!”
