The Lucite Center (TLC) in Memphis, USA has recently been awarded an Incumbent Worker Training (IWT) grant as part of a commitment to investing in the development of our workforce.

The IWT is a competitive grant that provides funding to help eligible Tennessee businesses provide effective skills upgrades and process improvement training.

Jeff Watson, Project Leader, explained more:

“The grant awarded is for Six Sigma Green Belt and Lean Manufacturing training for TLC employees, as part of our overall strategy in ISO9001 implementation and culture shift. The training will be given by the University of Tennessee’s Center of Industrial Services.”

The grant allows our TLC site a training reimbursement of up to $25,000 for its existing workforce. It focuses on skills attainment and process improvement to contribute to the ongoing competitiveness and productivity of our business.
